Power Precision worked with a local contractor to provide a new 12kV to 600V substation for the boiler at this lumber mill. A low arc flash solution was engineered and installed by Power Precision utilizing a transformer differential relay and a 15kV vacuum interrupter at the 15kV transformer bushings. This combination resulted in very low arc flash energy on the 600V switchgear including the line side of the main breaker.
